Weekend Presenters

Jim Moon

Keynote Speaker
‍
Dr. James Moon lovingly refers to himself as Ingrid’s secretary. Jim and Ingrid recently decided on a career swap. Ingrid is the new pastor of the Andover District in Minnesota and Jim is excited to serve as the pastor’s spouse.

In addition to supporting Ingrid in her new role, Jim coaches ordinary Christ followers who want to disciple the people in their circles of influence through listening and prayer. After completing a doctorate in discipleship from Andrews University, Jim launched a podcast called, Intersect: Finding Connection in Each Other’s Story, where he seeks to inspire the timid and curious to take their next step with Jesus. Listeners are encouraged to find the intersect between God’s story, their story, and the stories of those in their circles of influence.

Jim is also partnering with the Minnesota Conference to launch a Tent Makers Network of members and attenders who want to bring church to the people who don’t come to church by ministering to co-workers, family, friends, and those in their community.

Virgil Covel

Breakout Speaker

Virgil serves as the ministerial director for the conference and leads the religious liberty and prayer ministries departments of the conference. He loves to teach people in clear practical lines how to experience the goodness of Jesus and grow into becoming a friend of God. Virgil teaches from his personal experience with Jesus and love for Jesus. Virgil says, “Some people are shocked at what I teach them. It’s practical and unforgettable. It’s live-changing, basic Christianity, but it has been almost lost to the daily lives of many. I often have people come to me years later and remind me of when I came to their church to teach them “The Way.”"

Smerdis Fuentes

Smerdis Fuentes serves as the associate pastor of youth and young adults in the Piedmont Park church in Lincoln. He is active in evangelism in both the Hispanic and English-speaking churches. He has an amazing background in the colporteur Ministry; first colporteuring and then leading colporteur teams. You will love his stories and be inspired by his testimony.

Jean-Marcel Clouzet

Breakout Speaker

Jean is the lead pastor for the Wichita South Church and is known for his contagious enthusiasm and unrelenting energy. You will be inspired and instructed in his afternoon seminar that flows from his own personal walk with Jesus.
