Karl Haffner

Karl teaches, preaches, writes, and frequents Fenway Park as much as possible.He is crazy about his wife Cherié, and his daughters Lindsey and Claire. He also lovesgood stories, frequent flier miles, and ice cream (he even orders broccoli, a la mode).He serves as Vice President for Student Experience and Enrollment Managementat Loma Linda University Health. He has served as senior pastor of the Kettering SDAChurch and the Walla Walla University Church, and as Mission Strategist for KetteringHealth. He is an award-winning author of thirteen books such as No ExperienceNecessary, Are you more spiritual than a 5 th -grader?, Destiny: Who you are and whatyou’re here to do, and The Cure for Soul Fatigue. He has written hundreds of articles fora variety of journals.Karl travels whenever he can and preaches wherever he can. He is amazed dailyby God’s acceptance and is committed to communicating that grace to others.

Matthew Lucio

Matthew Lucio serves as the assistant to the president for communication in the Illinois Conference and director of the Adventist History Project, which produces several podcasts on Adventist history: Adventist History Podcast, Adventist Pilgrimage (with Drs. Michael W. Campbell and Greg Howell), and The Ellen White Podcast (with Dr. Jud Lake). Matthew is married to a formidable Romanian wife, Laura, and together they raise two girls: Aerith and Arwen

Cameron Fitzgerald • Youth

Cameron Fitzgerald is the Director of Worship Arts at Westwood Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Originally from College Place, Washington, Cameron graduated from Walla Walla University in Theology. He served as a youth and young adult pastor in Southern California before settling in Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife, Alexa.Cameron's passion lies in worship, youth, and adult ministry, and he actively seeks opportunities to facilitate moments where the Holy Spirit does its transformative work. He is committed to creating environments where youth and young adults can experience God's presence and encounter His love in powerful ways.

Lyle Notice • Young Adults

Lyle, originally from Toronto, shifted from aspiring Hollywood actor to ministry after feeling a divine call. He earned a BA in Religious Studies from Canadian University College and an MDiv from Andrews University. As a youth pastor and later Youth Director of the Alberta Conference, he led diverse programs until 2023. He holds a DMin in Urban Ministry and is completing a PhD focused on intercultural small groups and racial relations in the church. An author on topics like blockchain for faith communities, Lyle enjoys youth culture, skateboarding, and investing. He is supported by his wife, Cheri, and two children.

Fun Run

Join us Friday, May 31 at 8:30am for our annual Fun Run at Homes Lake Park! We will be meeting at the northwest parking lot. You will have the option to join the 1 mile run or the 5k run. Walkers are welcome as well! This is a great time to get some fresh air and make some new friends along the way. All participants will be awarded a medal!
