THIS YEAR'S SPEAKERS

Meet the Voices of Camp Meeting 2026

WED & THURS EVENING

Roger Hernandez

Southern Union Conference
Roger Hernandez is a pastor, author, and speaker who has spent more than 30 years in ministry as Ministerial and Evangelism Director for the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Born in Cuba and fully bilingual, he has spoken all over the world in both English and Spanish, connecting with audiences of every generation through messages that are clear, practical, and motivating.A prolific writer with more than 34 books to his name — including two Sharing Books of the Year and the Discipleship Book of the Year — Roger's newest release is Graceful Parenting (2025). He and his wife Kathy have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Join us Wednesday and Thursday evenings for preaching that is as practical as it is powerful.
FRI EVENING & SABBATH

Dr. Joe Kidder

Andrews University
Dr. S. Joseph Kidder carries a story unlike almost anyone you'll ever meet. Born in Nineveh, Iraq, he came to faith as a young man in a small Adventist church — a decision that cost him dearly, as he was beaten and expelled from his family for his newfound belief. That experience forged in him a faith that has fueled more than two decades of teaching at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, where he specializes in church growth, evangelism, and pastoral leadership.

A pastor for 20 years before joining the seminary, Joe is the author of more than 13 books translated into eight languages, and is known on the Andrews campus for his daily walks — rarely alone, always ministering to whoever joins him along the way. He also hosts Church Talk, a podcast featuring conversations with theologians, pastors, and church leaders on theology, community, and practical ministry through an Adventist lens.

We are honored to have him bring his Friday and Sabbath messages to camp meeting. Come ready for a word that goes deep.
7AM DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Mollie Dupper

Union Adventist University
Mollie Dupper is the incoming chaplain at Union Adventist University and a pastor whose ministry has taken her from classrooms and youth groups to young adult communities and the senior pulpit. A 2014 Union graduate with a master's in pastoral ministry from Andrews University, she has served in schools and churches across Tennessee, Florida, and Colorado — most recently as associate pastor at Boulder Church. In every setting, Mollie's approach has been the same: servant leadership, prayerful attention to unmet needs, and creating space for people to grow in their walk with Jesus.

Join her each morning for devotionals that are honest, warm, and grounded in the grace of a God who meets us right where we are.
YOUTH GUEST SPEAKER

Tyler Kern

Upper Columbia Conference
Tyler Kern is the pastor of Home of Shalom, a next-gen church plant in Spokane, WA, and chaplain of Shine 104.9 radio station. A filmmaker turned pastor, Tyler brings creative, out-of-the-box thinking to everything he does. His ministry is built around connection — hosting worship in coffee shops, parks, and malls, leading outdoor Sabbath services, and organizing hundreds of hours of community service each year. He holds a Master of Divinity from Andrews University and is completing a doctorate focused on the power of storytelling through short film. He and his wife Amelia have six children.

Join us for messages that are creative, authentic, and rooted in a faith that meets people where they are.

HEALTH MINISTRIES

Dr. Nakita Stephens is a board-certified neurologist with a decade’s worth of clinical experience. She hails from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, also known as Hairouna - the land of the blessed. Dr. Stephens’ practice encompasses management of common neurological disease, with a special interest in seizures/epilepsy. She adores her son and is the wife of one husband.  She enjoys music, escaping into the pages of a good book, and K-dramas. She is an advocate for the advancement of biblical literacy amongst Christians. Above all, her hope is for Christians to come to know Jesus personally, and to know what it is to be loved by Him.
EVANGELISM

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez spent years in law enforcement and fire service before answering a call he didn't see coming. After serving as a narcotics agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Rodriguez left that career behind to pursue ministry — pastoring churches, earning a master's degree in religion with concentrations in systematic theology and church history, and eventually directing evangelism and field services for the Voice of Prophecy. He now serves as director of the SALT (Soul-winning and Leadership Training) program at Union Adventist University in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he prepares the next generation of ministers, evangelists, and Bible workers to share their faith.
FAMILY & MARRIAGE

César & Carolann De León

César and Carolann De León serve as Family Ministries directors for the North American Division, bringing decades of pastoral, clinical, and leadership experience to their work with individuals and families across the church. César has served as a pastor, conference evangelism director, and vice president for Hispanic Ministries, while Carolann has held ministerial and family life leadership roles at the North Pacific Union Conference. Together they hold advanced degrees in marriage and family therapy from Loma Linda University, with César also earning a PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary. Married for 38 years, they are passionate about equipping families to reflect Christ's healing love in their homes and communities.
EVANGELISM

Roger Hernandez

Roger Hernandez is the Ministerial and Evangelism Director for the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, a role that keeps him at the intersection of pastoral leadership, evangelism, and church health across the region. Born in Cuba and fully bilingual, Roger has spent more than 30 years in ministry and has spoken all over the world in both English and Spanish. He holds a BS in Theology from Washington Adventist University and an MDiv from Andrews University, and is the author of more than 34 books on topics ranging from parenting to church growth. He and his wife Kathy have four adult children and four granddaughters.
STEWARDSHIP

He also completed Master of Divinity and Doctorate in Pastoral Ministry degrees from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. He has pastored churches in Arizona, California, and Oregon. Elder Salazar also did Trust and Stewardship work in the Oregon, Texas, and Central California Conferences. He met his wife, Janet Baden, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and they have two adult children. Pastor Rudy likes cooking, hiking, ping-pong, and likes to play scrabble and many other table games.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years in higher education, she has held leadership roles at the University of Southern Mississippi, Southern Adventist University, Andrews University, and Southwestern Adventist University. Her research focuses on the intersection of faith communities and social issues — particularly intimate partner violence, faith-based residential treatment, and sexual identity formation. She holds a PhD in sociology from Texas Woman's University and a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University.
