Prayer Conference Slated in Nebraska City April 22-24, 2016
A Prayer Conference is planned for members in Mid-America Union Conference April 22-24, 2016 at the Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, NE. Speakers will be Kevin Wilfley, director of prayer ministries for the Washington Conference and Virgil Covel, Conference prayer ministries coordinator. For registration, contact email@example.com
Held at Broken Arrow Ranch, mentor and intern pastors convened together for two days of learning, sharing and fellowshiping together. Coordinated by Virgil Covel, ministerial director, speakers included pastors Michael Halfhill, Travis Forde and John Abbott. Administrators John Sweigart and Ron Carlson, as well as Gary Kruger, education superintendent, shared helpful information.
Sharing Her Faith at Wichita Three Angels Church
Shannon McClain attended a lay witnessing program offered as a joint effort by the pastors in Wichita called Becoming a Contagious Adventist Christian. Desiring to share her faith, she ued the Thunder in the Holy Land series to study with Carl Ellis. Pastor Birger Draget had the privilege of baptizing both Carl and Shannon.
Samples of the World Shares Cuisine from Around the Globe
Lincoln's Good Neighbor Community Center sponsors this fund-raiser every October. Foods from 14 different countries were served to members, guests, volunteers and sponsors. More than $17,000 was raised to assist the ministry of the Center.
Teen Leadership Training
Coordinated by Travis Sager, youth director, teen Pathfinders and staff spent 10 days in Yellowstone National Park learning to be leaders. The trip had another purpose: these young people will take some of the skills they acquired and use them to help staff and lead the next Mid-America Union Camporee in 2017 in South Dakota.

At Yellowstone National Park, the Teen Leadership group didn't allow a brief rainfall to deter them from engaging in Pathfinder activities.
