About the project

The Conference Camp Committee evaluated and studied how we can improve the facilities for our constituents at Broken Arrow Ranch. A Building proposal was presented to the Conference Executive Committee on September 24, 2023. The Executive Committee then voted to approve the Camp Committee’s proposal in concept and to start fund-raising and obtain an actual cost estimate for building cabins.

Problem & Vision

The Need for New Facilities
Our dedication to creating an exceptional camp experience is clear, and we recognize the need for new cabins and facilities.
ACCOMMODATION SPACE
We were compelled to turn away campers this summer due to space constraints. Other bigger events through the year also need additional space.
HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
A staff cabin would provide an isolated space for sick campers and staff, preventing the spread of illnesses and ensuring a safe environment.
STAFF COMFORT
Staff relocations during the summer can be unsettling. Providing a dedicated staff cabin would foster team cohesion and enhance their experience.
GUESTS AND VOLUNTEERS
New facilities would enable us to welcome guests and volunteers, nurturing a stronger sense of community support.
FAMILY CAMP AND RETREATS
With enhanced facilities, we could accommodate more families during camp and retreats, creating memorable experiences for all attendees.

Proposal

We would like to propose 3 new building be added to Broken Arrow Ranch. A new girls' cabin, boys' cabin and a staff cabin. Each cabin will have a bathroom, showers, AC and heating to ensure maximum comfort for all.

Each cabin will be designed to accommodate 8 campers comfortably. The cabins will have bathroom and showers and will be equipped with air conditioning and heating to ensure maximum comfort for campers.

Funds to Raise

We could like to set up a fund-raising task force to start raising funds this year and seek donors to match throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why this project?
For years we have seen the great need for additional facilities to maximize the opportunities for people to have a wonderful spiritual experience provided by the various ministries year-round. We believe the time is now for us to act on this need.
How will we do this?
By including everyone. Projects of this magnitude are accomplished with everyone’s participation and support. By rallying around this project our Conference will experience the blessing of unity and a sense of joy in completing this.
Why not borrow the money?
Financing increases the project’s overall cost and absorbs finances dedicated to accomplishing our mission. By pressing together and including everyone, we can build this building debt-free. This strategy helps ensure that a future mortgage does not become a budget distraction to the mission God has called us to do.
What can I do?
Prayerfully consider what God would like to do through you to help with this project to fruition. Join us in building God’s kingdom by making a sacrificial commitment to the project. With your support many young people will be able to have a place to develop their faith and strengthen our Camp ministry. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things God will do in this place.
Why build now?
As constituent engagement in the camp increases, the limitations of our facilities are becoming more apparent. Many have expressed the need for an enhanced camp experience.
